Experiences to inspire

We offer grants to schools, charities and organisations for projects which are focused on improving the educational outcomes and life experiences of disadvatntaged children in the UK.

What we do

We support children from underprivileged backgrounds who don’t have access to the same experiences & opportunities many other children take for granted.

Unfortunately, children from disadvantaged backgrounds don’t receive the same opportunities as their peers. They miss out on school trips, they don’t have access to the same learning materials, and they generaly have to work harder to overcome obstacles.

4.2 million children in the UK are living in poverty, that’s 9 children in every class of 30 and this figure is set to have risen due to the Covid pandemic.

Sadly for many of these chidren growing up in poverty, their childhood is dominated by worry, stress, and missed opportunities which result in wider inequalities when they become adults.

All this not only impacts their education but their mental and physical wellbeing.

Childhood should be an enjoyable time in a child’s life, a chance to learn, play, discover and build foundations for the future. Lots of disadvantaged children are forced to grow up to quickly and abandon their dreams.

However, children are resilient and possess a natural, playful, inquisitive spirit. It is this spirit we want to protect, encourage and develop, so that instead of giving up on their dreams they are inspired and encouraged to pursue them.

We believe anything is possible and dreams can be achieved when children are given the right opportuities that inspire them and give them the courage, confidence and chance to succeed, no matter their background.

We offer grants to schools, charities and other organisations for projects which are focused on improving the educational outcomes and life experiences of underprivileged children.

Why we are needed

Years of school and community budget cuts have meant that organisations don’t always have the resources or money they need to deliver the projects they want to.

The Covid pandemic has impacted disadvantaged children the most. Organisations they depend on have struggled for funding or the pandemic itself has meant activities they reguarlarly attend have not been able to run.

We want to make sure projects that support disadvantaged children with their education and make a positive difference to their life are able to go ahead and are not stopped by the absence of funding.

What we offer

We believe all children should have a fair chance and recieve the best possible education no matter their background.

We know that sadly, this doesn’t always happen and children from disadvantaged backgrounds are often overlooked and have to overcome huge barriers and social challenges which prevent them from reaching their full potential.

We offer funding for projects which aim to:

  • Help disadvantaged children achieve their best

  • Narrow the attainment gap between disadvantaged children and their peers

  • Develop their skills and talents so that they can meet the challenges of an ever changing world and enable them to have positive choices about their future

But ultimately we encourage and support projects which deliver inspirational experiences and lifelong memories.

We are keen to support projects which:

Increase confidence & independence
