Who we are

We are The Jackson Family, a family from Cheshire who set up our own charity so that we can make a difference to underpriviledged children accross the UK.

Our mission is to give disadvantaged children access to experiences and opportunities that inspire them and give them the courage, confidence and chance to succeed no matter their background.

About us

Our Story

Howard Jackson, founder

After spending over 40 years in the education sector, entrepreneur Howard Jackson realised some fundamental truths that children from disadvantaged backgrounds:

  • Face extra challenges reaching their potential at school and do not perform as well as their peers
  • Are less likely to achieve good grades and go onto higher education, resulting in wider inequalities when they become adults

Realising the impacts these truths had, Howard founded The Jackson Foundation in 2013 with the goal of improving educational outcomes and life experiences of disadvantaged children & young people in the UK.

”When I set up the Jackson Foundation, my goal was simple, to help children from disadvantaged backgrounds reach their full potential.”

We want to help make a difference

We love education and the people in it and we know schools and organisations are working incredibly hard to support underprivileged children in uncertain and challenging times.

We want to help.

We believe every child should have access to the best education, regardless of their background or where they live so that they can have a bright future.

We're driven & passionate

We’re a small family run charity but that doesn’t stop us wanting to improve the education of as many disadvantaged children as we can.

We’re set up to provide fast assistance to schools, charities & organisations who deliver projects which:

  • Enable children to enjoy their learning and increase their confidence
  • Develop children’s talents and foster their skills
  • Equip young people to meet the challenges of an ever-changing world
